Live Auction Industry First Launched by the Global Auction Guide Media Group
March 4, 2006
Portage la Prairie MB - The Global Auction Guide Media Group announces the launch of new features that will make it easier for auction bidders to find the location of upcoming auction sales.
"Google has been the most innovative company on the Internet for the past few years " says Global Auction Guide Media Group President Dwayne Leslie. "Recently they launched a new service to allow websites to imbed the Google maps directly into their own websites. This allows Global to show a map directly in each individual salebill. Auctioneers are able to place a pinpoint on the map when they are adding their sale information to quickly and accurately show the the auction location. Google also allows the auctioneer to overlay the satellite image over the regular map so the bidder can actually see the building the sale is located in. "
Bidders can view the Google Maps in many different ways:
While viewing any sale bill, clicking the Google maps link shows the relative location of the sale.
When looking at a list of all upcoming sales in a certain state, clicking the Google maps link shows the location of all the upcoming locations in that particular state.
Choosing a particular day from the calendar, allows you to see all the upcoming auctions on the continent that are happening that day.
Most importantly, after a bidder has searched for a particular item, they can choose to see the location of all the sales that were returned for their search.
Being able to see every upcoming auction that has Moorcroft china or a John Deere 4020 tractor makes it so much easier for an auction goer to plan upcoming trips.
