5,000 Responses Help Shape Future Direction Of Industry Leading Advertising Network

"While we have a very strong idea of what users want from the Internet when they are surfing around looking for auctions, we were surprised at some of the demographics and suggestions that were received ." says Global Auction Guide Media Group President Dwayne Leslie "Being able to allocate resources to areas that merit higher attention will allow us to better serve the industry."

Over 5,000 responses were received from users in 40 countries. While Global Auction Guide Auction Guide.Com is the largest auction advertising website in Canada, it also attracts a huge percentage of traffic from the US. Of total respondents to the survey, over 70 % were from the US. Leading US states included Texas, Ohio, Minnesota and Iowa .

When asked "How Often Do You Attend Auctions?" 33% of respondents answered "Only When The Sale Has An Item They Are Looking For " This goes to show that advertising complete salebills is very important to attract interest for specific items.

92% of respondents have traveled 3 hours or more to attend an auction, so advertising outside of your local area is a must for attracting maximum bidders.

Most interestingly was the responses to 2 questions regarding Ebay use. 70% of people using our auction advertising website also have used Ebay, and 24% say they use tradional auction sales to source product to resell on Ebay or plan to do this in the future. This shows that you need to promote all your sales on the Internet no matter how small the sale may be.

Overwhelming numbers of respondents want photos posted with the sale bills, and many base their decision on whether to attend on the quality and quantity of pictures that are posted with the sale bills.
